Working for GoYellow Gmbh

Headquartered in Munich, GoYellow Media AG evolved from the company PC Plus, which was established in 1983 (the company operated as PC Plus until 2000, then as varetis AG until June 2006). PC Plus, later varetis, was one of the leading international producers of professional directory assistance solutions for telephone companies and information service providers. The software division was sold to the U.S. telecommunications company Volt Information Sciences in December of 2005. At the end of 2004, the Internet-based directory assistance GoYellow.de was developed based on the successful data search technology and is one of the most frequently used online addresses in Germany today. With its local search option via dynamic aerial images and a large pool of up-to-date information from the immediate environment, www.GoYellow.de has become an everyday reference tool for many Internet users. The information available includes 34 million pieces of contact information for both private individuals and commercial enterprises all across Germany, real-time schedules for public transportation in all of Germany, weather information, temperatures for bathing lakes as well as a great variety of other useful data that is presented in a variety of categories.
Using the free phone service, any private individual or commercial enterprise registered with GoYellow can make free phone calls at any common telephone from 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The entire GoYellow data pool is also offered via telephone (under the service number 11810 at EUR 0.29 per minute and EUR 0.69 for each SMS) and will also be provided in the form of printed directory books (initially for the Berlin area) beginning in the spring of 2007. GoYellow Verlags GmbH is not just the publisher of the GoYellow yellow pages for Berlin but also the licensor for the children's yellow pages to be published in 29 regions of Germany.
GoYellow Media AG currently employs 90 people. The share of the Munich-based company is listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt stock exchange. The comapny is managed by the telegate founders Dr. Klaus Harisch (42) and Peter Wünsch (51).
